Getting into the groove

Dead man's pass!?

The oracle of navigation tells us we have pedalled 164km with a total climb of 2854m today. We are getting into some higher country now - have a look at the pictures of some of our high points.
The cycling has been great - the weather less so but not too bad considering. When we were coming down off our highest col we were right on the fringe of a nasty storm. As we zig zagged down the mountain, with each elbow in the road we were into the storm - wet, cold and wet road; and then out of the storm - dry, warm and nice dry road 😞. After that had gone on for about 15 minutes the road thankfully stopped messing about and headed off down the valley clear of the storm - we were very grateful.
All In all it has been a great day of cycling and we are pleased with our progress.
Tonight we are getting our heads down at La Chaise-Dieu - nice place.

Thanks so much for the contributions to Justgiving.
